After throwing my voice out at rehearsal on Wednesday night, my pal Steve Hunt told me about Singer's Saving Grace herbal throat spray. The spray contains licorice root, Yerba Mansa root, Jack-in-the-pulpit root, and 70% grain alcohol, among other things. It costs $8.99 for a tiny one-ounce bottle and it tastes like a rusty machine is defecating in your mouth, but this stuff really seems to work.
Either that or it just tastes so awful you have no choice but to believe it's working.
