Andy Warhol and Sonny Liston for Braniff

Dallas-based Braniff International Airlines was all about capturing the style market before a hideously poor strategic response to deregulation caused the once-proud carrier to cease operations in 1982.

I think that was George Lois behind that campaign. Here's a Braniff page. I suppose they'd be yesterday's Jet Blue?

Ah...Braniff. I remember just before they went under, they sent my dad's luggage to South America instead of Austin with him and never found it. Had his best pair of Lucchese boots in that luggage, and before they paid him for it, they went bankrupt and he never got a dime from them.
