Speaking for myself, I’d be more inclined to support a more ethical retailer than Wal-Mart at Northcross – which is to say just about anyone but Wal-Mart – even if it was big, though a regional destination like IKEA would generate much more far-flung traffic than a Wal-Mart Supercenter.

Speaking of ethics, or lack thereof, Kate and I don’t live together at the moment. However, she’s moving in with me this summer, so I didn’t feel too bad about fudging to Costco about our current status. For what it’s worth, they checked our IDs, which have different addresses, and gave us joint household membership anyway.

I think you can also do a small business membership, which you would technically qualify for as a freelance writer, for the same price as a household. I’m not sure how that works with having another cardholder, but I imagine it would present a similar ethical dilemma.

Or you could just always go to Costco together with your neighbor as your guest.Greghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11405802203511133041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9982236.post-6458817440287911812007-03-06T08:41:00.000-06:002007-03-06T08:41:00.000-06:00So, Greg, I'm assuming that Kate is not your domes...So, Greg, I'm assuming that Kate is not your domestic partner, spouse, or immediate family member living in the same house. (Yeah, she's your GF, but do you live together?) How did you swing a joint membership?

I ask because my neighbor and I are thinking of going in on a membership together, but can't quite figure out how to do that without passing as Lesbian Life Partners. (side note: as I wrote those last three words, I noticed that the last three letters of the security code are "vag" -- HA!)Melaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16679691972013338068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9982236.post-15938475757191651912007-03-05T19:40:00.000-06:002007-03-05T19:40:00.000-06:00Costco faves: olive tapenade. cilantro dressing ...Costco faves: olive tapenade. cilantro dressing (not in the fridge case). spring mix.
